I must say as I read your article I was confused multiple times, felt hopeful sometimes and maybe at the risk of offending you saw a level of naivety and delusion.

Let’s start with president Trump whose base truly doesn’t want war, is a a collection of isolationists, anti-semites and Islamophobes. And you are asking the most President Trump to sell this people an idea that includes the immigration of nearly 3,000,000 Arabs (which to this people means muslim) to America in order to help bring peace to a Jewish state. The same Donald Trump who brought forth the Abraham Accords and moved the embassy to Jerusalem a move designed to be antagonistic. The same Donald Trump that unilaterally withdrew from the Iran nuclear deal, a decision that has led to further conflict and destabilization.

Now lets move on to some of your proposed solutions, while I will admit that the Palestinians will have a good and peaceful day to day life outside of present day Gaza, there are lengths people will go to in-order to preserve their home, heritage and history. No where in there did you mention the establishment of a Palestinian State, something the Palestinians have been dreaming about for the past seven decades. You said that anyone willing to fight Israel should immigrate to Iran or Saudi Arabia, why? Do Palestinians not have a right to self determination, can they not fight for a home, a nation and dignity. And can’t we provide to them the support they need in creating that state and enforcing a peaceful coexistence.

In 1952 the United Nations against the wishes of my people forced a federation with Ethiopia, that decision marked a 30 year war after 1962 for independence. People will go to great lengths and endure unimaginable suffering to live in their home.

The single greatest thing Trump can do today without upsetting his horrific base is to allow the admission of Palestine as a full member of the United Nations, recognize its rights to self governance as a state and its responsibility to peacefully co-exist with its neighbours.

The officiation is also not lost on me, you point out the suffering of the Palestinians, the death of children, the ongoing starvation, the wiping out of entire families, the systemic displacement and illegal and immoral settlements. However, you do not state who is doing all of this, how, and for what purpose.

Peace requires compromise I understand that, but haven’t the Palestinians already given too much, have they not suffered enough what more do they have to give, the ground beneath their feet?

Confusion is thwarted by knowing of the renewing of the Ben Gurion Canal between Red Sea and Medditteranean Gaza oil/gas drilling and resort to play golf by the sea between Suez Egypt and Crime(a) in Ukraine. Russia&China trade through this Israel/Saudi Arabia Africa route as through Panama where China is building a new canal to compete with ever busy Panama Canal between the Atlantic and Pacific trades to North and South Americas. Gaza City first, obviously, then Gaza, lock stock and barrel Israel. Or, Israel/Palestine State or one/two or more States? Lebanon? Gaza is a good fit for a Beirut type trade settlement? Re-set Iran/Lebanon/Israel with all instead of not. This may not happen before an assassination, like the first WW, like many times before 2nd WW, then? WW3? Or, is this already WW3 to be trade diplomacyied away and along open Global Trade Talks not Presidential Prime Minsterial theo-political grounds rather World Bank World Court as United Nations. A democratic social world not of per-sons or per-daughters but People plain, and simple. Will that happen? Well, someplaces sometimes while this is already happenning in local climate action groups e.g.) becomes something of a new-normal ecology of Economic Trade&Life on Earth. thx
